Create an Adventure Photobook

Create an Adventure Photobook
Are you into extreme sports? Do you live for the thrill of mountain biking down narrow pathways through beautiful forests? Perhaps you went on a safari and saw lions, elephants and other spectacular views. Why keep all these photos online if you can print them into an adventure photobook?

Many times, we have amazing experiences. Things that not everyone will be able to see and enjoy in their lifetimes. With smartphones, GoPros, drones and other technology, these adventures are better documented than ever before. The problem that many people face is that their footage is scattered between devices, in Google Photos and elsewhere online.

How great would it be to print an adventure photobook that you can keep on your desk or coffee table for friends, family and guests to see? You could even gift the adventure photobook to your travel partner or to a parent on a special day like Father’s Day. Make your memories last forever by creating your very own, unique adventure photobook so that you can show people your fascinating experiences.

How to Create an Adventure Photobook

  • Choose your photos and footage. Save all the pictures, artwork and captions that you want to use in your adventure photobook.

  • The next step is to lay out your pictures, artwork and text on pages. There are many online photobook tools available to help you do this. Just start your photobook design on our website and we will guide you through the process.

  • Follow the easy step-by-step instructions to choose the specifications of your photo book. We usually recommend that the binding of your adventure photobook base ‘case bound’ with gloss lamination on the exterior cover and a gloss finish on the interior pages.

  • Choose the number of prints that you want. We will print them in no time!

Tip 9 : Aligning and Spacing in Rapidstudio

We often want to create a collage of photo's as a page design. Most of the time we are not totally confident in creating this type of layout in Rapidstudio, as you have to be accurate in your aligning and spacing of pictures. In this tutorial I will be explaining how to create a collage of pictures on a page, as it covers most of the alignment and spacing topics.
I hope this tutorial will help you realise your design intent more accurately and efficiently.
You will probably start with a page layout something similar to this

We are going to start with top row of pictures. The following explanation only refers to the top row, we will be dealing with the rest of the images a bit later.
First of all we need to move the pictures next to each other horizontally to see if they will fit in the "Safe Area" of the page. In this example the pictures are too wide and overlap the safe area horizontally. Please note that you will have to leave a decent amount of space between the safe …

Paint By Shadow Canvases:

Paint By Shadow Canvases:
RapidStudio and CraftRoutes got back in touch with their inner artist in Pretoria last week.
CraftRoutes, a specialist arts and crafts shop in Pretoria, invited Paint-by-Shadow to be the flagship product at their annual exhibition in the Kolonnade Shopping Mall, Montana Park.

Our largest size (80 x 120 cm) canvas was placed on the stand and throughout the 6 days of exhibiting, the canvas was painted by myself (product developer), Sue Peddle (owner of CraftRoutes) and all the sales staff from the store.

The King Protea image was developed for Sue and her shop, which reflected the mood of Heritage Day.  This image also show cases the Proudly South African product Paint-by-Shadow truly is.

Have you always wanted to be an artist but thought it was too difficult?
We have developed an innovative new product called “Paint-by-Shadow. Paint-by-Shadow is a great starter product that takes any of the initial apprehension and unknowns out of the painting process.
