Colour to brighten your life. Greenery

Green is a colour of vibrancy and power. It’s a symbol of growth and renewal, of endurance and natural wisdom. If you’ve been looking for a colour theme to freshen your business or brighten your home, look no further than green.

GREENERY

PANTONE 15-0343

Greenery is a natural neutral too; a colour to escape the grind of modern life and travel back to our roots, a colour of pause and reconnection. Green awakens a deeper truth inside us, a raw reality. Delve within and green writes us an unflinching poetry of our true self and our relationship with our wild and beautiful mother earth.

The official Pantone Colour of the Year is a zesty yellow-green. Pantone are colour specialists and they select symbolic colours every year that represent our global culture and the changing moods and attitudes of our busy lives. 2017’s selection is fresh and restorative, a cool change to revitalize the spirit.

Join us at RapidStudio and get a dose of greenery into your life. We are celebrating the green theme of 2017 and have incorporated rejuvenating shades of green into many of our products, including these cards, mugs, clocks and photobooks.

Enjoy these inspirational quotes that highlight the richness and beauty of all things green.

“This is the color of hopefulness, and of our connection to nature. It speaks to what we call the ‘re’ words: regenerate, refresh, revitalize, renew. Every spring we enter a new cycle and new shoots come from the ground. It is something life affirming to look forward to.” - Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute executive director told Time

"Think succulents, matcha tea and freshly cut grass in springtime." Oprah

"Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the hope we collectively yearn for amid a complex social and political landscape." Design Bloom

Tip 9 : Aligning and Spacing in Rapidstudio

We often want to create a collage of photo's as a page design. Most of the time we are not totally confident in creating this type of layout in Rapidstudio, as you have to be accurate in your aligning and spacing of pictures. In this tutorial I will be explaining how to create a collage of pictures on a page, as it covers most of the alignment and spacing topics.
I hope this tutorial will help you realise your design intent more accurately and efficiently.
You will probably start with a page layout something similar to this

We are going to start with top row of pictures. The following explanation only refers to the top row, we will be dealing with the rest of the images a bit later.
First of all we need to move the pictures next to each other horizontally to see if they will fit in the "Safe Area" of the page. In this example the pictures are too wide and overlap the safe area horizontally. Please note that you will have to leave a decent amount of space between the safe …

Creative Ideas for a Post-Holiday Photobook

Here’s how to turn your holiday photos into a creative, must-keep photobook.

Returning home after a holiday can leave you with the post-travel blues. As you wash your bikini, shake the sand out of your sneakers, and try to revive the house plants you haven’t watered for two weeks, you begin to long for the lazy days of a vacation.

But, just because you’re home, doesn’t mean the holiday fun is over. Gather your memories up and create a photobook of your trip. Putting it together is a fun way to keep the holiday feeling alive, plus you can look back on it, to get yourself ready for next December (or April. We’re coming for you, public holidays).

Create a #Hashtag If you went on holiday with a few friends or family members, make sure that everyone uploads their pics to Instagram using a unique hashtag you create, like #SmithFamilyHoliday2017. Check it doesn’t exist already! That way, when you create the photobook, you can search for the hashtag, and find every photo that was taken. An ea…
