RapidStudio has also been a part of the local event for two years. Not just to capture footage on camera but also to help out the cyclist and staff as required. We are also sponsoring a young Junior Rider, Matthew Minter.
The well-organized event is headed by Dustin Rudman and Laura Minter. They along with their team, have devoted their time and effort to create a platform where the skills and techniques of a downhill junkie can be developed.

Rider's Briefing

Since Downhill Mountain biking is all about confidence, the first day of the two day event is all about practicing and allowing the riders to get accustomed to the trail before them. On the day of the big race, the riders turn on the competition mode and give a phenomenal display. The biggest
thing with the Dustin Rudman Invitation is that everybody get together to have a couple great days out on their bikes. Which is why they have rewards like Huck-to-Flat, Ballies, Sprogs, dance off etc. If you want to know what all of this means - best you join us at the next event.

The day is ended on a high note with the winners getting their awards and RapidStudio as well as other sponsors giving out prizes to the participants and the spectators.
On the whole, Dustin Rudman Invitational draws a good crowd of both - new and experienced riders as well as their supporters. A big round of applause to all the participants, the winners and the sponsors of the great event!
And last but not the least, the title man himself - Dustin Rudman along with Laura and the team for creating a platform for downhill riders to display and perfect their talents. We at RapidStudio are pleased to be a part of the great event for two years and hope to stand alongside in the coming years as well.

The next event will be on the 13th and 14th August. Place to be confirmed.

Good luck and happy racing!

Tip 9 : Aligning and Spacing in Rapidstudio

We often want to create a collage of photo's as a page design. Most of the time we are not totally confident in creating this type of layout in Rapidstudio, as you have to be accurate in your aligning and spacing of pictures. In this tutorial I will be explaining how to create a collage of pictures on a page, as it covers most of the alignment and spacing topics.
I hope this tutorial will help you realise your design intent more accurately and efficiently.
You will probably start with a page layout something similar to this

We are going to start with top row of pictures. The following explanation only refers to the top row, we will be dealing with the rest of the images a bit later.
First of all we need to move the pictures next to each other horizontally to see if they will fit in the "Safe Area" of the page. In this example the pictures are too wide and overlap the safe area horizontally. Please note that you will have to leave a decent amount of space between the safe …

Creative Ideas for a Post-Holiday Photobook

Here’s how to turn your holiday photos into a creative, must-keep photobook.

Returning home after a holiday can leave you with the post-travel blues. As you wash your bikini, shake the sand out of your sneakers, and try to revive the house plants you haven’t watered for two weeks, you begin to long for the lazy days of a vacation.

But, just because you’re home, doesn’t mean the holiday fun is over. Gather your memories up and create a photobook of your trip. Putting it together is a fun way to keep the holiday feeling alive, plus you can look back on it, to get yourself ready for next December (or April. We’re coming for you, public holidays).

Create a #Hashtag If you went on holiday with a few friends or family members, make sure that everyone uploads their pics to Instagram using a unique hashtag you create, like #SmithFamilyHoliday2017. Check it doesn’t exist already! That way, when you create the photobook, you can search for the hashtag, and find every photo that was taken. An ea…
