The Photo & Film Expo is Africa’s premier industry event, drawing huge crowds from across the continent and across the professional spectrum.

RapidStudio was front and centre for this amazing event and we brought with us a spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing. Not only did we share our expertise in printing and photography, but we were also handing out 50% vouchers to a very interested crowd. What a way to kick-start a printing project! We set up a demonstration stand for a hands-on, tactile showcase of our products. Oh… And there were free cupcakes too! They were out-of-this-world delicious.

RapidStudio hosted a lounge for show goers to relax and enjoy a break from exploring the huge number of stalls. We had ultra comfy furniture from Sevens, complimentary recharge stations from Richarge, and even free massages from Mowana Spa! The RapidStudio Lounge was so well appointed it might have been confused with a scene from a James Bond movie…with cupcakes. Did we mention the free cupcakes?

We were in a hosting mood and sponsored a stage too. RapidStudio ambassadors including AlexanderSmith, Chantal Drummond, Michael Tucker, and other industry experts gave free talks. It was gratifying to receive so many compliments from a broad spectrum of interests. We are so proud of our ambassadors sharing their professional knowledge.

RapidStudio also sponsored a huge gallery to showcase two outstanding and worthy photographic initiatives; EveryDay Education and Unequal Scenes. Johnny Miller of Unequal Scenes was an engaging guide for the gallery of images and was appreciated by the many visitors.

The expo was an epic four-day experience packed solid with activities, events and knowledge sharing. Not everything was serious though. There was a tonne of laughter to be had with the yellow Morphs, who ran about entertaining visitors. The Morphs made light hearts and big smiles for photos at RapidStudio’s great backdrops and Instagram frames. Winning us "Most Interactive Stand" 1st prize once again.

The 2016 Photo & Film Expo was an amazing success. We’d like to send out a massive THANK YOU to everyone who helped make it great:

•         Our ambassadors and guest speakers who graced our stage, including Alexander Smith, Chantal Drummond, and Michael Tucker.

•         Camera Stuff,

•         The Photo and Film Expo organisers;  Matt Raven and his lovely wife Chanti,
