For the Price of One

At RapidStudio you are no longer pressed to choose just one favourite image when printing your photos on canvas for your wall art.  When you have so many favourite photos it is a bind to just stick to one.

Collage canvases make great Birthday and Christmas gifts.  Numerous orders have also come in for the office, showcasing the annual office party for all to see and have a giggle.

Our creative designers at RapidStudio have developed canvas collage templates to allow you more choice, freedom and flexibility as to the number of photos you want to place on canvas wall art.  Working from scratch in a photo editor such as Photoshop is extremely tedious.   So take advantage of our online editor which is super easy and quick to use.

So visit www.rapidstudio.co.za and click on wall art. Now choose canvases in the drop down menu.  Choose your size and range for a box mount canvas and move to the online editor. Click on page layouts tab to find the collage templates.  Continue to be creative and have fun using your choice of colour backgrounds and images with the grid you have chosen according to the number of photos you wish to place.

You will come across many collage template sites on your Google search. They all offer free low resolution images.  The low resolution choice is unfortunately not good enough to print.  Always download the highest resolution image, some may be free and others you may have to purchase, the average cost being $5 per collage.
Here are some other customer friendly collage template sites I have found to expand your choice and options.

photocollage.com – I found this a very easy site to use, with lots of grid choices. The high resolution images are free to download

fotojet.com – This site offers modern grids, lots of clip art and backgrounds.  High resolution images are free to download.

getloupe.com – Very easy to use.  It throws photos out like a deck of cards and then arranges them according to the shape you would like your photos to be in.  This is great for numbers and letters.  High resolution images cost $5.

Tip 9 : Aligning and Spacing in Rapidstudio

We often want to create a collage of photo's as a page design. Most of the time we are not totally confident in creating this type of layout in Rapidstudio, as you have to be accurate in your aligning and spacing of pictures. In this tutorial I will be explaining how to create a collage of pictures on a page, as it covers most of the alignment and spacing topics.
I hope this tutorial will help you realise your design intent more accurately and efficiently.
You will probably start with a page layout something similar to this

We are going to start with top row of pictures. The following explanation only refers to the top row, we will be dealing with the rest of the images a bit later.
First of all we need to move the pictures next to each other horizontally to see if they will fit in the "Safe Area" of the page. In this example the pictures are too wide and overlap the safe area horizontally. Please note that you will have to leave a decent amount of space between the safe …

Creative Ideas for a Post-Holiday Photobook

Here’s how to turn your holiday photos into a creative, must-keep photobook.

Returning home after a holiday can leave you with the post-travel blues. As you wash your bikini, shake the sand out of your sneakers, and try to revive the house plants you haven’t watered for two weeks, you begin to long for the lazy days of a vacation.

But, just because you’re home, doesn’t mean the holiday fun is over. Gather your memories up and create a photobook of your trip. Putting it together is a fun way to keep the holiday feeling alive, plus you can look back on it, to get yourself ready for next December (or April. We’re coming for you, public holidays).

Create a #Hashtag If you went on holiday with a few friends or family members, make sure that everyone uploads their pics to Instagram using a unique hashtag you create, like #SmithFamilyHoliday2017. Check it doesn’t exist already! That way, when you create the photobook, you can search for the hashtag, and find every photo that was taken. An ea…
