Who should I frame?

Should I even frame my Canvas prints?

As a RapidStudio customer you will know that our flagship wall art is the photo to canvas box print.  It's canvas wrapped over a box frame much like a wrapped gift. It's an on-trend canvas print option offering the raw gallery look and feel.

The popularity of canvas prints:

Canvas prints have indeed become our customers’ number one choice when choosing one significant photo for canvas print. The canvas texture adds a whole new dimension to photos.  The rich grainy texture adds depth and amplifies the richness of colours in the photo as if it were a painting.

Canvas in a frame:

At RapidStudio we have added a new feature to our photo to canvas print wall art.  We now offer canvas wall art in a frame.  It is a sleek and contemporary look adding clean lines and our coffee-bean brown frames will suit just about any decor scheme.
The framed look lifts the style level up a few notches in sophistication, adding a sense of elegance to your treasured photos.  The frame invites the viewer to notice it, which may otherwise go unnoticed.  The frame also creates a boundary around the photo allowing the print to own its space on the wall without competing with others.

Spoilt for Choice!

Wedding photos, newborn images, family portraits and special occasions are a must to be framed. Fine art reproduction is like a hand in glove when it comes to canvas wall art. Try www.rijksmuseum.nl for free downloads of fine art. The old masters framed exactly this way, their canvases were framed without glass.  Glass detracts from the beautiful rich canvas texture.

We have  2 NEW reasons to get excited about RapidStudio’s canvas prints.

This is really the best of both worlds.  Not only do you still get the raw gallery look of a wrapped canvas but you also get the slick framed finish.  The canvas sits 1 cm in from the frame, exposing the wrap of the canvas.
This is our innovative answer to old fashioned block mounting.  No longer chipboard and paper that begins to yellow and peel in the corners.  Quality is the name of the game with a canvas print and a professional frame. The frame is only 5 mm thin.
Our framed canvases come with a hanger attached for easy installation at home.
Whether you're a professional photographer looking to expand your product range to sell to customers or just down right proud of an occasion -  we can glorify your photo to the level it deserves. Go on, start sifting through your collection.

Tip 9 : Aligning and Spacing in Rapidstudio

We often want to create a collage of photo's as a page design. Most of the time we are not totally confident in creating this type of layout in Rapidstudio, as you have to be accurate in your aligning and spacing of pictures. In this tutorial I will be explaining how to create a collage of pictures on a page, as it covers most of the alignment and spacing topics.
I hope this tutorial will help you realise your design intent more accurately and efficiently.
You will probably start with a page layout something similar to this

We are going to start with top row of pictures. The following explanation only refers to the top row, we will be dealing with the rest of the images a bit later.
First of all we need to move the pictures next to each other horizontally to see if they will fit in the "Safe Area" of the page. In this example the pictures are too wide and overlap the safe area horizontally. Please note that you will have to leave a decent amount of space between the safe …

Creative Ideas for a Post-Holiday Photobook

Here’s how to turn your holiday photos into a creative, must-keep photobook.

Returning home after a holiday can leave you with the post-travel blues. As you wash your bikini, shake the sand out of your sneakers, and try to revive the house plants you haven’t watered for two weeks, you begin to long for the lazy days of a vacation.

But, just because you’re home, doesn’t mean the holiday fun is over. Gather your memories up and create a photobook of your trip. Putting it together is a fun way to keep the holiday feeling alive, plus you can look back on it, to get yourself ready for next December (or April. We’re coming for you, public holidays).

Create a #Hashtag If you went on holiday with a few friends or family members, make sure that everyone uploads their pics to Instagram using a unique hashtag you create, like #SmithFamilyHoliday2017. Check it doesn’t exist already! That way, when you create the photobook, you can search for the hashtag, and find every photo that was taken. An ea…
