Happy Mother's Day 2015! Celebrating the gift of mothers

Celebrations of motherhood have occurred throughout history, including in Greek and Roman times. In modern times, we celebrate mothers around the world on Mother’s Day. Whether you are celebrating for your own mother, a family member, a friend, or yourself, Mother’s Day is a special occasion that allows us to stop and appreciate all that moms do for us!

Without moms, the world would be so different. Mothers have a tendency to get stressed out, but it’s only because they want nothing more than to keep their families together. They work relentlessly to create comfortable homes, raise babies and children, and provide for their families while balancing work, life, and pregnancies. Without moms, there would be no life, and households just wouldn’t be the same.

For some of us, we celebrate Mother’s Day in memoriam of someone we loved dearly but who has passed on. For others, we spend Mother’s Day as a celebration of family unity with the people we love the most. For some, Mother’s Day is a special reminder of the gift of motherhood.

No matter who you are celebrating for this year, make sure to thank her for the sacrifices she’s made to contribute to her family. Mothers are the hardest workers with the most difficult job on the planet. An interesting dynamic that most mothers will say is absolutely true? That they would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

For a mother, there is no greater gift than her child’s life, love, and happiness. The bond cannot be broken, no matter what, and a mother will always love her child. Regardless of why or who you are celebrating, keep these things in mind and thank her for being a mom!

Tip 9 : Aligning and Spacing in Rapidstudio

We often want to create a collage of photo's as a page design. Most of the time we are not totally confident in creating this type of layout in Rapidstudio, as you have to be accurate in your aligning and spacing of pictures. In this tutorial I will be explaining how to create a collage of pictures on a page, as it covers most of the alignment and spacing topics. I hope this tutorial will help you realise your design intent more accurately and efficiently. You will probably start with a page layout something similar to this We are going to start with top row of pictures. The following explanation only refers to the top row, we will be dealing with the rest of the images a bit later. First of all we need to move the pictures next to each other horizontally to see if they will fit in the "Safe Area" of the page. In this example the pictures are too wide and overlap the safe area horizontally. Please note that you will have to leave a decent amount of space between th

Tiny photobook. Great impression.

Bigger is better We’ve all heard the saying “bigger is better” and even in the world of photobooks that’s true.  But when we talk about big  at RapidStudio  in the photobook business, we’re talking about the heart - not the product.  Creating, printing and owning photobooks are all about the memories, it’s all about treasuring your most precious moments and the people close to your heart. Small is beautiful We don’t talk enough about our Mini Books (or brag books as we like to refer to them).  As in life, we tend to overlook the simplest and smallest treasures and we forget that these small things have their own special kind of awesome.  The Mini Book is no exception. Our most popular photobook must be the A4 Landscape Hardcover.  It’s just the right size to store on a shelf, to leave on your coffee table or to flip through.  It’s not bulky, it doesn’t take up a lot of space but it’s not too small either.  It’s near perfect.  I say near perfect because it lac

Digitise Your Old Family Photos and Create a Beautiful Coffee Table Photobook

Ever heard people say that if their house was on fire and they could save only one possession, they would grab their photo albums? A family’s photo albums hold their combined memories of all their best times. As such, they should be looked after. Old fashioned albums lose their stickiness and colour over time. The photos themselves start to dull and fade. With all the handling of people browsing them, they start to fall apart and look shabby. This is why coffee table photobooks are the answer. Showing your family memories in a professionally bound photobook on your coffee table or bookshelf will take the pics from drab to fab. What’s great is that you can create separate volumes for each chapter of your lives: ‘Mauritius Holiday 2017’ or ‘The Kids as Babies’, etc. Each book can have its own look and feel to go with the theme or event it contains. It Is So Easy Today’s software and photobook websites are designed to be user-friendly for people regardless of their le
